We have been invaded by aliens wearing underpants! !! We read the two books called Aliens Love Underpants and Aliens in Underpants Save the World. We discussed how these books are the same and different. Then they created aliens in Underpants and wrote about their aliens. They did an awesome job !!

Finally, after 4 weeks, our praying mantis hatched. The kids were ecstatic! There were 150. We let them go in the afternoon. Each child got to put one in their finger and let them go! What an !experience
We made Zookeepers and write three clues in a cage about the animal they drew in their cage. The kids had a blast. The kids also made recycled animals for a home school connection project. They came out awesome.
Went to the dollar store and found these cute safari hats and binoculars. So I immediately Thought small groups! !! They will do a safari read the room and a zoologist animal labelling and writing center. I love the dollar store! !!!
We learned about the king of ing today. We made crowns and king of ings. The students lived wearing the king hat and making new words!
We read the zoo mystery called Stickler On Stilts. I read to them the first three clues and then they had to think what the mystery animal was. They then drew what they thought. After we talked about what they thought it was, I read the rest of the book. They loved it!
We then made a can, have, are chart that I got from a unit by Kim Adsit!
The facts they remembered were awesome!
We then made our own flamingos! They came out really cute! !!
